Cargo Plane Blows Tire, Lands Safely at JFK Airport

NEW YORK (AP) —

A cargo plane made an emergency landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport because of a blown-out tire.

The plane landed safely, and no one was injured.

WABC-TV reports that the Atlas Air Cargo flight made its descent shortly before 7 p.m. Sunday.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey says the craft was towed to a maintenance hangar, and there was no impact on airport operations.
