Palestinian Authority sources reported early Monday that a 15-year-Arab rioter was killed after attempting to commit terror acts against IDF soldiers. The IDF said it was investigating the incident. The incident occurred in the Dehaishe refugee camp south of Beit Lechem.

The soldiers were in the camp to arrest wanted terrorists. In a statement, the IDF said that “during a mission to arrest suspects in the Dehaishe refugee camp, a violent riot broke out, including the throwing of firebombs and bricks at soldiers, who responded with anti-riot measures. In some cases soldiers fired live bullets at the main inciters. The claims that a Palestinian was killed are being investigated. There were no injuries among IDF soldiers.”

Overnight Sunday, security officials said they arrested 8 wanted security suspects in other areas in Yehudah and Shomron. The suspects were wanted for participating in rioting and throwing stones and firebombs that endangered Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers. Several of the suspects were also charged with belonging to Hamas. All were being questioned on their activities by security forces.
