Hamas Reversal: Will Continue Arson Attacks

YERUSHALAYIM -

Israeli military retaliation and Egyptian pressure seems to have had little effect on Hamas’ determination to continue its cross-border arson attacks, as at least 20 fires were started by incendiary devices from Gaza on Wednesday.

Hamas had reportedly said before that it would gradually phase out the attacks, but in a video released to the public on Wednesday vowed to keep them up.

“We won’t stop with the kites or balloons until the blockade is lifted,” a masked terrorist stated in the video.

Hundreds of devices were sent over the border from Gaza into Israel during the day, resulting in 20 or more fires in southern Israel.
