A watchdog group called for an ethics investigation into whether an ex-aide to Gov. Andrew Cuomo used state resources while leading Cuomo’s 2014 campaign.
Common Cause-New York issued the call Monday, a day after the Times-Union reported that Joe Percoco’s state phone and office were routinely used after he had left his state job.
Percoco was convicted this year on federal bribery and fraud charges. The trial included testimony he continued to work out of his old state office after he was supposed to have left government to lead Cuomo’s re-election bid.
Gov. Cuomo claimed he hadn’t been aware of it.
