IDF Chief in U.S. for Talks
IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen.Gadi Eisenkot arrived in the United States on Thursday for discussions with senior American military officials on matters of bilateral cooperation with Iran and Syria high on the agenda.
Eisenkot will be hosted by his counterpart, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Joseph Dunford.
According to the IDF spokesperson unit, Eisenkot will hold working meetings with security and military officials in Washington to “discuss aspects of military cooperation in light of the significant security challenges in the Middle East, and other issues.”
While Eisenkot is in the U.S., the acting IDF Chief of Staff will be Deputy Chief of Staff Maj. Gen Aviv Kochavi.
