IDF Soldier Injured in Dehaishe Riot
An IDF soldier was injured early Friday as soldiers attempted to arrest a terror suspect in the Dehaishe refugee camp near Chevron. Some 200 Arabs rioted, throwing rocks, concrete blocks, and firebombs at Israeli soldiers. Soldiers responded with antiriot measures. The soldier was treated for light injuries on site and later taken to a Yerushalayim hospital for further treatment.
IDF soldiers overnight Thursday seized terror funds from Arabs in the village of Antabe, near Chevron. The money was part of payments made by Hamas and the Palestinian Authority to the families of terrorists for committing terror acts against Israelis, officials said. Weapons for use in terror attacks were also found in the village.
For the second time in a week, Arab terrorists threw a firebomb at Border Guard officers stationed at Me’aras Hamachpelah. Police said that a search for the culprits was launched. No injuries were reported in the incident.
