Soldiers Disable Vehicle in Attempted Car-Ramming Attack

IDF forces on Sunday morning opened fire on a vehicle that they suspected was planning to run them down in what appeared to be a car-ramming attack. The incident occurred near the Nur a-Shams refugee camp outside Tulkarem. Soldiers standing at a checkpoint observed a vehicle speeding up as it drove in their direction. They opened fire and shot out its tires. There were no injuries in the incident. Soldiers detained the occupants of the vehicle.

Soldiers on Motzoei Shabbos arrested a Gaza Arab who had breached the border fence. The incident occurred near Kibbutz Nachal Oz. A search of the Arab’s belongings yielded a slingshot. The Arab was detained and questioned by security officials.

Overnight Motzoei Shabbos, security officials said they arrested nine wanted security suspects in other areas in Yehudah and Shomron. The suspects were wanted for participating in rioting and throwing stones and firebombs that endangered Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers. Several of the suspects were also charged with belonging to Hamas. All were being questioned on their activities by security forces.
