Violence erupted at Har HaBayis on Thursday, as a group of masked men at the Al-Aqsa Mosque hurled rocks, chairs and other objects at visitors, injuring a tourist and a policeman, according to media reports.

Halachah does not permit entrance to Har Habayis .

The tourist sustained a leg injury and was taken for medical treatment, police said.

Two Palestinian suspects were arrested afterwards; and police continued to search for others who took part in the violence.

The incident comes as the Muslim month of Ramadan enters its final week, historically a time of incitement and violence.

Security forces were bracing for a fresh round of large-scale riots along the Israel-Gaza border on Friday, part of the Palestinian Naksa Day (Day of Setback) protest, marking the 51st anniversary of the Six Day War.
