Top Port Authority Cop Retires for Rush Limbaugh Escort

NEWARK (AP) -

The Port Authority’s top law enforcement official retired Monday amid an investigation after radio host Rush Limbaugh told listeners last month he received a police escort from Newark Airport to Manhattan, where he was appearing at a Marine Corps gala.

Michael Fedorko fought in the Vietnam War and later served 31 years with the New Jersey State Police. He was named Port Authority police superintendent in 2009.
