Israel is holding the body of a terrorist killed in an attempted terror attack Sunday, it was released for publication. The body is of a terrorist who was one of three who attempted to breach the Gaza border fence. IDF soldiers shot at the terrorists, killing one of them. He was found to be carrying weapons that were to be used in a terror attack, officials said.

The terrorist’s body joins others that the IDF is holding. Israel has offered numerous times to exchange the bodies of terrorists it holds with those of IDF soldiers Hadar Goldin, Hy”d, and Oron Shaul, Hy”d, who were killed in Operation Protective Edge in 2014, in order to allow all to be properly laid to rest. Hamas has rejected all these offers.

IDF soldiers overnight Sunday seized weapons that were to be used in terror attacks. Soldiers, working with police, discovered a cache of weapons in Arab neighborhoods of Yerushalayim. Several suspects were arrested and the cache confiscated. In a statement, police said that such weapons were often used in terror attacks, and that security forces were determined to seize all weapons that were being held illegally by all people, in order to better protect all Israelis and residents of Palestinian Authority-controlled areas, who are also under threat by terrorists and criminals.

Overnight Sunday, security officials said they arrested 19 wanted security suspects in other areas in Yehudah and Shomron. The suspects were wanted for participating in rioting and throwing stones and firebombs that endangered Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers. Several of the suspects were also charged with belonging to Hamas. All were being questioned on their activities by security forces.
