Haley Warns Palestinians: No Talks, No Aid

YERUSHALAYIM -

U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley indicated on Tuesday that continued Palestinian refusal to meet with American envoys and return to peace talks with Israel could cost them a loss of aid, the Times of Israel reported.

Haley told reporters at the U.N. that “we very much still want to have a peace process. Nothing changes with that.”

But, she said, it depends on Palestinian cooperation.

“The Palestinians now have to show their will that they want to come to the table. As of now, they’re not coming to the table but they ask for aid. We’re not giving the aid. We’re going to make sure that they come to the table. And we want to move forward with the peace process.”

The implication seemed clear — that U.S. aid to the Palestinian Authority could evaporate if the PA continues on its present course.
