Tens of Thousands Spend Rosh Hashanah in Uman

According to estimates, a crowd numbering tens of thousands of Jews, from all walks of Jewish life, spent Rosh Hashanah in Uman near the kever of the Rebbe Harav Nachman of Breslov, zy”a, who had asked his Chassidim to travel to his kever for Rosh Hashanah.

Many hachnasas orchim organizations set up places for the thousands who traveled to Uman. Extra meals were prepared this year, as Rosh Hashanah was on Thursday and Friday, followed by Shabbos Shuvah, adding to the two days of Yom Tov.

Renovations have been made near the kever compound, as well as the adjacent places where the thousands gather to daven.

The mass recital of Tikkun Haklali was held at chatzos on Erev Rosh Hashanah.

Ichud Hatzalah volunteers treated close to one thousand people with various injuries over the three days.
