One Arab rioter was killed when an IDF force was surrounded by rioters in the Dehaishe refugee camp near Beit Lechem. The soldiers were on a routine patrol when Arab rioters descended on them, throwing bricks and firebombs. The soldiers tried to fend them off with antiriot measures, but were forced to open fire when the rioters refused to back off, security officials said.

On Thursday, the IDF said it had arrested an Arab worker who was caught stealing steel rods and blocks from an IDF base. The worker, who was doing contracting work at the base, was caught red-handed stealing the items. The army is now investigating if he was responsible for other thefts. He was arrested and is banned from further work on IDF bases.

Overnight Thursday, security officials said they arrested four wanted security suspects in other areas in Yehudah and Shomron. The suspects were wanted for participating in rioting and throwing stones and firebombs that endangered Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers. Several of the suspects were also charged with belonging to Hamas. All were being questioned on their activities by security forces.
