Block Co-Named For Holocaust Author Elie Wiesel

NEW YORK

The southwest corner of West 84th Street and Central Park West was co-named “Elie Wiesel Way” on Tuesday, honoring the late Holocaust author and Nobel laureate at his one-time place of residence.

Deputy Mayor Richard Buery, along with Council members Mark Levine and Helen Rosenthal, participated in an unveiling ceremony.

“Elie Wiesel was a moral giant whose lessons continue to reverberate today,” Levine said.
