The Defense Ministry, in conjunction with Raphael defense industries, completed a series of tests for further development of the Iron Dome missile defense system.

For the first time, the Tamir interceptor was launched, a product of a joint U.S.–Israeli development project signed in 2014.

In accordance with that agreement, Israel brought Iron Dome interceptor components to the U.S., which has been helping to finance the system. The American company Raytheon has been leading that side of the program.
