Two Israeli youths and a Border Patrol officer were lightly injured Shabbos afternoon when an Arab attacked them with a knife in the Old City of Yerushalayim. Security forces shot and killed the terrorist, a 17 year old resident of Shechem.

Officials said that the terrorist began following the two Israelis youths, 18 and 20 years of age, on Rehov Hagai in the Old City. He then rushed at them with a knife and injured them slightly. He ran away, taking cover inside an apartment building. Border Patrol officers chased after him and confronted him in the stairwell of the building. The terrorist attempted to stab the officers, who then shot and neutralized him.

A terrorist armed with a knife was arrested outside Me’aras Hamachpelah in Chevron. The terrorist was nabbed as he approached Jews who were going to daven on Friday evening. IDF soldiers arrested the terrorist without incident. No injuries were reported.

Another terrorist carrying a knife was nabbed at the entrance to Kiryat Arba, adjacent to Chevron. Soldiers warned the terrorist to halt and he instead ran away. The soldiers captured him after a short pursuit, and he was arrested. No one was injured in the incident.
