Lockdown Lifted on White House Grounds After Concern Over Suspicious Package

UPDATE: The lockdown has been lifted. The Secret Service arrestes a man who made suspicious comments to an agent and had a package with him.

The Secret Service is investigating a suspicious package on the grounds of the White House, a spokeswoman for the agency said on Tuesday.

NBC News reported that the south lawn of the White House was on “lockdown” due to the package.

The Secret Service detained a man near the White House who had made suspicious comments to an agent and had a package with him.
