Jewish Driver Injured in Rock-Throwing Near Beitar Illit

YERUSHALAYIM

A Jewish man was injured and his vehicle damaged when terrorists threw rocks at traffic on the Husein bypass road, on the way to the charedi community of Beitar Illit, Tuesday night.

Cars that stopped to offer assistance to the injured driver were themselves pelted with rocks, and their vehicles were also hit. A firebomb hurled at one of them missed its target, landing on the road nearby, where it exploded.

In the continuing attacks in Yehuda and Shomron over the past 24 hours, buses carrying passengers were stoned in five separate incidents. The attacks occurred in Gush Etzion near Jewish Tekoa, near Adam in the Binyamin region, between Efrat and the T junction.

In all the incidents, vehicle damage was reported, but b’chasdei shamayim, no injuries were reported, except for that near Beitar Illit.
