The group spoke out against the project during a gathering with other opponents at the New York state Capitol in Albany this week.

Winery co-owner Vinny Aliperti says the project threatens the local environment and the Finger Lakes tourism and winemaking industries.

Houston-based Crestwood Midstream Partners had defended its project, which it says will help improve the propane supply in the northeast. The company downsized the proposal earlier this year in response to concerns from local residents.

The proposal is now before an administrative law judge. Cuomo’s environmental commissioner has the authority to block the project.
