BROOKLYN (AP/Hamodia) -

An off-duty corrections officer was fatally shot Sunday night while sitting in a car outside a home in the Flatlands section of Brooklyn.

Alastasia Bryan, 25, was found with gunshot wounds to her head and torso. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The rookie cop lived in East New York, about four miles away, and had recently began working in Rikers Island.
