Manhattan Travel Advisory for Monday and Tuesday

With New York City hosting both presidential candidates’ post-election parties on Tuesday night, expect travel closures in a number of areas of Manhattan on Monday evening and Tuesday.

Donald Trump’s party will be held at the New York Hilton, at 6th Ave. between 53rd and 54th Streets. Hillary Clinton’s party will be held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, between 11th and 12th Aves., from West 34th to West 38th Streets.

Following are tentative street closures announced by the NYPD:

Jacob Javits Center:

Starting Monday:

— Limited access to 11th Avenue, between W 40th Street – W 34th Street

— Limited access to W 34th Street, between West Side Highway – 10th Avenue

Monday through Wednesday:

— Full Street Closure West 34th Street, between West Side Highway – 11th Avenue

— Full Street Closure: 11th Avenue, between West 34th Street – West 40th Street

Hilton Hotel, Peninsula Hotel and Trump Towers:

— Starting around 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, West 53rd Street & West 54th Street, from 6th to 7th Avenue, will be closed.

— All day Tuesday, W. 55th St. between 5th and 6th Aves. will be closed

— Starting at 6;00 a.m. Tuesday, East 56th Street between 5th and Madison Aves. will be closed

Truck Restrictions, starting 6:00 a.m. Tuesday

— 5th Avenue – 54-59 Streets (Trump Towers and Peninsula Hotel)

— 57th Street- Madison to 6th Avenue

— 6th Avenue – 42- 54 Streets (Hilton Hotel)
