A Border Guard was lightly injured in a stabbing attack near the entrance of Har Adar, north of Yerushalayim. The attack occurred when a terrorist jumped out of several bushes and surprised the officer, then ran away. IDF soldiers began a search for the terrorist.

On Motzoei Shabbos, security officials arrested a 25-year-old Arab terrorist who was carrying a knife. The terrorist was arrested at the entrance to Har HaBayis. Under questioning, he admitted that he had planned to attack soldiers and police patrolling the area.

Beginning Motzoei Shabbos, a general closure was imposed on Yehudah, Shomron and Gaza in advance of Sukkos. The closure will be in effect beginning Sunday at midnight and continuing through the end of Simchas Torah. All permits for entry into Israel by residents of the Palestinian Authority are suspended.
