Motorists continue to see lower prices at the pumps in New Jersey.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gas in the state on Friday was $1.91, down 4 cents from last week. That’s also much lower than the price from a year ago, when motorists were paying $2.45.

This marks the eighth straight week that pump prices have fallen in New Jersey.

The national average price on Friday was $2.12, down 2 cents from last week. That’s also much lower than the national average from a year ago, when motorists were paying $2.63.

Analysts say fuel prices in New Jersey will likely continue to slide in coming weeks, noting that gas supplies remain high and oil prices remain low.
