N.Y. GOP Rep. Will Vote for Clinton, Says Trump ‘Unfit’

UTICA, N.Y. – Retiring New York Rep. Richard Hanna said Tuesday he will vote for Democrat Hillary Clinton because Donald Trump is “unfit to serve our party and cannot lead this country,” Syracuse.com reported. He’s the first Republican lawmaker to say he’ll support Clinton.

Dog En Route to Asia Escapes, Ends Up in N.J. Swamp

NEWARK – A dog on its way to Asia ended up a swamp following its escape from Newark Airport Monday, The Associated Press reported. The collie got away from United Airlines’ pet transport service, threaded through traffic before ending up stuck in the mud. Police rescued the dog and it made its flight.

Christie on DMV Delays: Don’t Procrastinate

TRENTON – Gov. Chris Christie has an idea for people worried about long lines at the DMV: Do not wait until the end of the month, those are the busiest times, The Associated Press reported. The Republican also said Monday that people may renew licenses online.

Sinkhole Swallows SUV Parked on Albany Street

ALBANY – A burst water pipe created a large sinkhole Tuesday that swallowed an SUV, The Associated Press reported. The owner says he found his Ford Escape sunk halfway into the hole. Within a few minutes the entire vehicle disappeared into a hole that was 15 feet wide and deep, and 30 feet long.
