Man Uses Power Spray to Blast Carjacking Attempt at Car Wash

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) —

A man in Louisiana has thwarted a carjacking attempt with the help of a car-wash power spray.

KSLA reports that Michael Davis was cleaning his car at a Shreveport car wash on July 20 when he says a man pointed a gun at him and demanded his keys and cash. A video from Davis’s dash cam shows him turning the powerful spray on the gunman and then trying to hit him with the wand. He also fended off another man who came around the other side of the vehicle.

Davis said he probably would have been shot even if he had turned over the car, and added that his disabled veteran brother was inside. He said he hopes the duo will be caught.

Shreveport police haven’t commented.
