French Immigrants Lead in IDF Enlistments

The Defense Ministry’s Manpower Division on Wednesday published data on the relative enlistment of various immigrant groups.

For the second consecutive year, immigrants from France led in enlistments, as 45 percent of all recruits were French. This compared to 29 percent from the U.S. and 5 percent from the UK.

All told, immigrants from 21 different countries are slated to enter army service this August.
