Gaza Tunnel Collapse Kills Terrorist
Hamas announced on Sunday one of its members was killed and others injured when a terror tunnel collapsed in the north Gazan border town of Beit Hanoun.
The statement identified the tunnel worker as Ibrahim Hassan al-Masri, a 28-year-old Gazan. He was pronounced dead on arrival to the Indonesian Hospital in Beit Lahia. Several tunnels have collapsed on Palestinians in the past year, with death and injury. Hamas has accused Israel of causing the collapses, but Israel has not confirmed any involvement and the causes remain undetermined.
However, in April, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu revealed that Israel has developed a cutting-edge tunnel technology, though he spoke only of detecting underground structures, not destroying them.
