One World Trade Center Lit Up To Honor Wiesel
Gov. Andrew Cuomo directed the lights of One World Trade Center’s 408-foot spire to be displayed in the blue and white colors of the Israeli flag on Sunday night to honor the life of Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel, z”l, who passed away Saturday.
“New York stands in solidarity with the Jewish people and the State of Israel,” the Democratic governor said in a statement, “who lost one of its preeminent leaders, and mourns the loss of a great New Yorker. … The world will never be the same without him.”
