IDF Apprehends Sister of Kiryat Arba Terrorist

YERUSHALAYIM -

The Israeli military has taken into custody the sister of the Palestinian terrorist who murdered 13-year-old Hallel Yaffa Ariel, Hy”d, in Kiryat Arba on Thursday.
In overnight raids carried out in Yehudah and Shomron during the weekend, the sister of Muhammad Tarayrah, 17, was arrested on suspicion of incitement and encouragement of terrorist activities. Tarayrah was shot and killed at the scene of the attack.

Five other Palestinians, including a nurse, were arrested during the security sweep in Chevron and the Palestinian villages of Fawwar, Bnei Naim, al-Burj and Khirbat al-Hijra.

After the attack in Kiryat Arba on Thursday, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman met and ordered the IDF to close off the Palestinian village of Bani Naim, located near Kiryat Arba, where Tarayrah lived.

However, local Jewish residents complained that the closure was not in effect.
