Councilman David Greenfield has secured funding for several programs in his Boro Park, Midwood and Bensonhurst district in the city’s budget, which takes effect this Friday.
NYC Cleanup, a program that helps keep streets and sidewalks clean, received $7.8 million, an increase of $2 million from last year. Greenfield also secured $300,000 for sidewalk reconstruction and street milling.
Other community groups that received funding are Ohel (1.6 million), Hatzolah ($300,000) and Maimonides ($800,000).
