NYPD: 2 Trespassing Incidents at Bronx Zoo

NEW YORK (AP) —

Police say two people entered areas of the Bronx Zoo that are off limits to the public in separate incidents over two days.

They say the first incident occurred around noon Friday when a man climbed over a railing near the snow leopard area of the Himalayan Highlands exhibit.

According to WCBS, police say he walked down a trail that’s off limits to the public and headed for the snow leopard enclosure.

He was detained by police. No charges were filed, but his season pass was revoked.

A day later, police say a woman entered an area near the red panda exhibit to take photos.

Police were called and she was issued a criminal court summons for trespassing.
