Cabinet to Find Out Truth About Yemenite Children

YERUSHALAYIM -

The Israeli cabinet has taken the historic step of deciding to remove the ban on publication of government files concerning Yemenite children who were allegedly kidnapped from their families and adopted by others in the early years of the state.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu appointed Minister without portfolio Tzachi Hanegbi (Likud) to act in the name of the government in resolving the Yemenite children affair.

Netanyahu called it “very strange” that the government had imposed such a ban on the matter, and declared that “I am committed to finding the truth about this, and Minister Hanegbi will present his findings to the government.”
