Parts of Ocean Ave. To Be Shut for Repair During PM Hours

BROOKLYN

Parts of Ocean Avenue will be closed off to traffic during the nighttime hours as the city begins its summer milling.

Work on repaving the major Flatbush thoroughfare, from Avenue P through Avenue S, began Monday evening, Councilman Chaim Deutsch announced. It is scheduled to go on through Wednesday night. However, weather or technical circumstances may delay it for one more night.

In order to minimize traffic congestion and reduce the impact on people’s lives, the New York City Department of Transportation will begin at approximately 7:00 p.m. and end at 6:00 a.m.

Signs are posted 24 hours prior to the work’s commencement to notify residents about parking restrictions during the overnight hours.
