Arab terrorists om Monday night opened fire on Israeli vehicles traveling on Road 465 in Shomron, near the town of Chalamish. No one was injured, but several vehicles were damaged. IDF patrols were searching for the shooters.

Early Tuesday, security forces arrested a wanted terror suspect in the village of Beit Fajjar, south of Beit Lechem. The suspect was involved in various rock and firebomb attacks on civilians and soldiers, Israeli officials said. He was being questioned over his activities on Tuesday.

For the first time, a siren test was to be conducted in Tel Aviv on Tuesday morning. Sirens sounded in different parts of the city at 10:10 and 10:40 a.m. In addition, a test of the emergency broadcast system was to be enacted, and officials break into broadcasts of two local Tel Aviv radio stations.

Officials have in the past avoided conducting siren tests in Tel Aviv because of fear that the sirens could instigate panic, but they said they are confident Tuesday’s test would go off without a hitch because of the wide publicity the test has been getting for weeks.
