IDF soldiers on Monday afternoon eliminated a terrorist who had attempted to stab an IDF soldier at the Ras Bidu checkpoint, north of Yerushalayim. The female terrorist approached soldiers and refused to stop, instead pulling out a knife. She was shot and injured. There were no injured soldiers.

Earlier Monday, a Rishon Letzion court extended the remand of an employee of the Israel Prisons Service who is accused of providing information to an “unauthorized source” regarding prisoners. The employee allegedly used the IPS’s computer system to access information. The employee’s motives are not clear.

Overnight Sunday, security officials said they arrested 18 wanted security suspects in other areas in Yehudah and Shomron. The suspects were wanted for participating in rioting and throwing stones and firebombs that endangered Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers. They were also charged with belonging to Hamas. All were being questioned on their activities by security forces.
