YERUSHALAYIM -

Natan Yosipov, a police officer who was badly injured in a hit and run incident outside Nazareth in February, was niftar early Friday from his wounds. The driver is still at large. The levayah for Yosipov will be held Friday afternoon at the cemetery in Migdal Ha’emek.

Border police and IDF soldiers overnight Thursday seized weapons and other contraband from homes in the village of Bani Na’im, outside Chevron, and in the Shuafat area of Jerusalem. Among the weapons found were shotguns, firebombs, and ammunition. Several Arabs were arrested, and the weapons seized.

Travelers to and from Israel were warned that a major security drill was set to take place at Ben Gurion Airport Friday. The drill will entail movements of vehicle, large number of security officers, and possible loud noises. Officials said that the regular schedule of flights would not be affected.
