Red Alert in Gaza Belt

YERUSHALAYIM

At the end of a day of riveting politics, Israelis were jolted back to regional realities on Wednesday night as air raid sirens sounded in the Gaza Belt and Eshkol Regional council areas.

Shortly before 8:30 p.m., residents in the area reported hearing explosions.

A brief search by IDF units confirmed two hits in open fields between two Gaza Belt communities. B’chasdei Shamayim, no injuries or property damage was reported.

The last incident occurred two weeks ago when Hamas terrorists lobbed rockets at Israeli civilians eleven times in a three-day period.
