IDF troops opened fire on a Gaza Arab who attempted to breach the border fence and enter Israel Wednesday morning. Soldiers ordered him to halt, but he refused to acknowledge them. Gaza news sources said that the man was injured and was taken to a hospital in Gaza City for treatment.

A report by the 0404 news service said that a vehicle driven by an IDF soldier was attacked by Bedouins Tuesday night outside Dimona. The vehicle sustained heavy damage, with one rock breaking a window and flying into the vehicle, missing the driver’s head by inches.

The soldier was quoted as saying that he and others had experienced the same kind of attack many times. “We were saved bederch nes,” the soldier said. “It is becoming impossible to travel in this area in peace. This is a terrorist attack for all intents and purposes, and the fact that the rock ended up in the back seat where my friend was sitting made me feel helpless.”

Overnight Tuesday, security officials said they arrested 18 wanted security suspects in other areas in Yehudah and Shomron. The suspects were wanted for participating in rioting and throwing stones and firebombs that endangered Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers. Several of the suspects were also charged with belonging to Hamas. All were being questioned on their activities by security forces.
