Terrorist Carrying Israeli Police Uniform Arrested

A 36-year-old resident of Beit Lechem was arrested Shabbos afternoon in the Mishor Adumim area, east of Yerushalayim, with an Israeli police uniform in his possession. Police had received a tip that the individual, a known terrorist, was planning to infiltrate into Israel with the uniform in order to carry out a terror attack. Under questioning, he admitted that he had planned to use the uniform to carry out an attack in the coming days.

There were several attempts by Arabs to breach the security fence and cross over from Palestinian Authority-controlled areas into Area C. On Friday, an Arab was shot climbing the Gaza border fence, and on Shabbos afternoon, three other Arabs were arrested when they were caught trying to breach that same fence. One Arab late Friday night succeeded in climbing the fence, and he was arrested a short time later.
