On Tuesday, the head of operations in the Israel Fire Service cautioned the hundreds of thousands of picnickers in Israel’s national parks to exercise caution, especially when using fire for barbecues, as temperatures are expected to soar Tuesday. “There are many people in the parks and most of them are behaving just fine,” he said. “But sometimes there are people who behave less responsibly and we have to deal with some vary large blazes that result from their carelessness.”
A major heat wave is expected Tuesday, and temperatures would hover in the mid-90s and higher. Things are set to cool off Wednesday, and pleasant temperatures are expected for the end of Pesach, forecasters said.
