Gerber Recalls 2 Types of Organic Baby Food Pouches

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) —

The New Jersey-based Gerber Products Co. is recalling two types of organic baby food because of a packaging defect that could make them susceptible to spoilage while being transported and handled.

The voluntary recall involves two batches of Gerber Organic 2nd Foods Pouches — Pears, Carrots & Peas and two batches of Gerber Organic 2nd Foods Pouches — Carrots, Apples & Mangoes. The products have “best by” dates of July 12, 13 and 14. It says those pouches may be bloated or the product inside may have an off taste or odor.
