In a stabbing attack early Thursday morning, two terrorists who attacked an Israeli soldier in Tel Rumeida, Chevron, were shot dead by other troops at the scene, the military said in a statement.

“Two terrorists stabbed an (Israeli) soldier at a military post in Chevron. Forces responded to the attack and shot the terrorists, resulting in their deaths,” a statement by the Israeli military said.

A hospital spokeswoman for the Shaarei Zedek Hospital in Yerushalayim, where the soldier was evacuated to, said that the soldier, about 20 years of age, was in stable condition and initial checks showed he had sustained light injuries. The soldier is suffering from stab wounds to his upper body, though he is conscious and stable.

The Palestinian health ministry ministry named the two dead terrorists as Ramzi Al-Qasrawi and Abdel-Fattah Al-Sharif, both 21.
