3 Palestinian Minors Indicted in Weissman Killing

YERUSHALAYIM

Three Palestinian minors were indicted in on Thursday for the February 18 stabbing spree in which IDF Sgt. Tuvia Yanai Weissman, Hy”d, was murdered.

All three, whose names, ages and residences are under gag order, were charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder.

In the attack, in the Rami Levy supermarket in Sha’ar Binyamin, they allegedly murdered the 21-year-old soldier and married father of a baby girl, and wounded another individual.

The court ordered the accused to be detained until the end of their trials.

An armed civilian heard shouts and rushed toward the scene of the attack, where he shot and seriously wounded some of the terrorists. One later died of his wounds.

Weissman, a resident of Ma’aleh Michmash who was off-duty at the time of the attack, was rushed to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Yerushalayim, where he was pronounced dead.

The second victim, a resident of Tel Zion, next to Kochav Ya’acov, was sent to intensive care at Hadassah-University Medical Center at Mount Scopus, where doctors listed him as moderately wounded and in stable condition.

President Reuven Rivlin at the time offered his condolences to the bereaved family, and his prayers for the wounded.

“A man returns from his day at work, stops to buy groceries for Shabbos, and is taken away forever by murderous villains,” Rivlin said.
