A police spokesman says a New York City police officer has been shot in Brooklyn.
New York Police Department spokesman Carlos Nieves said on Twitter that the incident happened Tuesday evening near the intersection of Wilson Avenue and Troutman Street in the Bushwick neighborhood.
Police could not immediately provide any additional information about the incident or the condition of the officer.
