2016 Could Be Banner Year for Car Sales

During just the first two months of 2016, a total of 62,075 new vehicles were delivered to Israelis – a huge increase over the 55,480 delivered in the same period of 2015.

In February alone, 25,589 vehicles were delivered, compared to 21,848 in February 2015. January saw Israelis acquire 36,486 vehicles – the most ever in a single month.

Industry experts told business daily Globes that based on the figures so far, as well as projected figures, 2016 could be the biggest year ever for car sales in Israel. The most popular brand so far is Hyundai, with 8,715 vehicles delivered. Hyundai is followed by Kia, with 7,367 vehicles delivered. In third place is Toyota, with 6,864 delivered.
