A-G Mandelblit Nixes Expulsion of Terrorists’ Families to Gaza

Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit told Army Radio on Sunday morning that the transfer of families of Palestinian terrorists living in Yehudah and Shomron to Gaza would violate both Israeli and international law.

Thus, Mandelblit seconded the opinion of his predecessor Yehuda Weinstein, who had vetoed the idea put forward by Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan earlier this month as a “deterrent measure.”

Erdan had suggested the idea informally during a conference on countering Palestinian terrorism at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya.
