Brooklyn Events Marking Sheloshim of Rav Belsky, zt”l, to Be Held Sun. and Tues.

Events marking the sheloshim of Hagaon Harav Chaim Yisroel Belsky, zt”l, will be hosted in Brooklyn next Sunday and Tuesday by Camp Agudah and Yeshiva Torah Vodaath, respectively.

Rav Belsky, who was niftar on 19 Shevat at the age of 77, was Rosh Yeshiva of Torah Vodaath, camp rav and head of Masmidim Program at Camp Agudah, and kashrus administrator at the OU. He was a renowned posek, and beloved rebbi and manhig to thousands.

Both events will be open to all wish to attend, and there will be an ezras nashim at each event.

The first event, hosted by Camp Agudah, will be held on Sunday, Feb. 28, at 8:00 p.m., at Yeshiva Torah Temimah, located at 555 Ocean Parkway (between Ditmas and 18th Avenues).

Speakers will include:

Rabbi Duvie Frischman, Director of Camp Agudah Masmidim Program

Rabbi Menachem Feifer, R”M in Camp Agudah Mechina Program

Rabbi Chaim Dovid Zwiebel, Executive Vice President of Agudath Israel of America

Rabbi Mordechai Karfiol, Head Counselor of Camp Agudah

Rabbi Aryeh Belsky, rebbi in Yeshiva Tiferes Yisroel and son of Rav Belsky, zt”l

Rabbi Hillel David, rav of K’hal Yeshiva Shaarei Torah

Maariv will be at 10:00 p.m.

 

 

On Tuesday, March 1, an event will be held at 8:00 p.m. at Yeshiva Torah Vodaath, located at 425 East 9th Street (between Cortelyou Road and Ditmas Ave.)

The event, which will be attended by gedolim such as Harav Moshe Wolfson, shlita, and Harav David Feinstein, shlita, will feature a siyum hashas made by the bnei hayeshiva in honor of the sheloshim, and speeches by:

Harav Yitzchok Sorotzkin, Rosh Yeshiva of Telzhe and Mesivta of Lakewood

Harav Yisroel Efrati, Mara D’Asra of Bais Medrash Kerestir in Miami Beach, and husband of the granddaughter of Rav Belsky, zt”l
