Firefighters have rescued two window washers who got stuck on a scaffold near the top of a Manhattan high-rise.

The Fire Department of New York says the workers became trapped near the 62nd floor of the building at West 54th Street and Broadway at around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

A department spokesman says firefighters were able to bring the workers into the building through a window.

The rescue operation took about an hour.
