Former Mayor Dinkins Hospitalized for Pneumonia
Former mayor David Dinkins was hospitalized Friday and is being treated for pneumonia.
A spokeswoman for the 88-year-old Dinkins said that he was at New York Presbyterian Hospital for a lung infection and “is going to be fine.”
Dinkins was the first black mayor of the nation’s largest city. The Democrat served one term, from 1990 to 1993, which was mostly overshadowed by the Crown Heights riots.
