On Monday afternoon, yet another attempted stabbing attack at Damascus Gate in the Old City of Yerushalayim was thwarted, b’chasdei Shamayim, said the police.

There were no injuries to Israelis.

Police arrested a 15-year-old Arab girl, whom they said raised the officers’ suspicions. When they approached her, she took a knife out of her bag in an attempt to stab them, police said.

The officers at the scene apprehended the young terrorist and arrested her. Upon searching her bag, officers found an additional knife, the police spokesperson added.

The Damascus Gate has seen many attacks in the current terror wave. It was the scene of a terror attack Sunday night, during which two Arab terrorists carrying automatic machine guns attempted to attack border police.
